How to apply.

  • Apply in fall — after summer heat breaks but before the first hard freeze (typically mid-September to early November in NY).
  • Broadcast 3.6 lb per 1,000 sq ft evenly with a rotary spreader for one-pass coverage.
  • Overlap carefully — with rotary spreaders, move over 5–6 ft per pass; with conventional spreaders, avoid heavy overlap or missed strips.
  • Sweep (don't wash) any fertilizer off driveways and walkways — washing can cause staining.
  • Clean your spreader after use. Rinse and dry thoroughly to prevent corrosion.
